Apartments in Midtown Montgomery
A Very Distinct Flavor

Midtown is the appropriately named neighborhood that sits right in the middle of Montgomery. Specifically, it sits in between East Montgomery and Downtown and stretches across both sides of I-85.

It's close to Downtown, and it's close to the interstate, both of which will give you an easier commute in the morning but why else should you consider renting an apartment in Midtown?

There's a lot of history here.

Yes, you can say that about most of the neighborhoods in Montgomery, but it's especially true in Midtown. Your apartment will be surrounded by old hex block sidewalks, houses that date all the way back to the 1850's, and little bungalows that sit on entire streets that qualify as a historic district. If you want your new apartment to have some character, you'll love the choices in Midtown!

There are also a lot of modern-day amenities.

Just because Midtown is proud of its history doesn't mean you'll have to travel to the end of the earth to run basic errands. You'll have quick access to modern conveniences, because sitting amongst all of the historic homes are big retailers like Walmart, Publix, and Walgreens.

You'll also see plenty of smaller shops that are owned and operated by the locals. In fact, it's these small businesses that give Midtown an extra dose of character. You'll be hard pressed not to enjoy a lazy afternoon checking out the local bookstores, wine shops, and home décor stores.

Dining out is fun, too.

You'll see plenty of familiar chain restaurants in Midtown, but just like the stores, the locally-owned places are the most fun! There are small pizza joints, bakeries, down-home restaurants, and even small gourmet grocery stores so that you can make your own goodies at home.

Every corner has its own "personality".

The apartments in Midtown are divided into 5 different smaller neighborhoods -- Cloverdale-Idlewild, Garden District, Greater McGehee Estates, Old Cloverdale, and Vaughn Meadows. Each one is a little bit different, with some focusing on newer residences, while others focus on preserving as much of the local history as they can.

You'll be close to Alabama State University.

This campus sits in between I-85 and Carter Hill Road, just to the southeast of Downtown. It's only a short drive from your Midtown apartment, and even if you're not a student or employee here, you'll enjoy the cheap ticket prices for football, baseball, and basketball games. Where else can $5 turn into a fun night out?!
